As a resident of NC for over 23 years I was filled with excitement when I heard a Catholic Radio station was broadcasting in Wilmington NC. I lived 30 miles outside of Wilmington, and was only able to listen to the station in limited areas. Fortunately I worked in Wilmington during the week and I was able to listen to the station during my commute. When I began to listen, I had many questions about the Catholic Faith and what God was calling me to do for him and his bride the Holy Roman Catholic Church. I was strengthened everyday with a wealth of information from all the programs the station had to offer. With this great source of accurate information about the Catholic Church, the guidance of my parish Priest, and Eucharistic Adoration, I heard Gods call to serve him as a Priest for the Diocese of Raleigh NC. I began to focus all my attention on Gods will for me and I would get up an hour early so I could listen to Father John Corapi on my way into work. His teachings on the faith were instrumental as I journeyed closer and closer to Gods will. At break and lunch time I would sit in my truck and listen to Father Larry Richards, Bishop Fulton Sheen, Catholic Answers, and many more programs that strengthened me and gave me the confidence to surrender my life to the service of God. I began my official discernment in September 2007, and as of March 11, 2010 I have been officially accepted by the Diocese of Raleigh to begin my formation in the seminary, and by the grace of God, serve my Bishop as a Priest for the Diocese of Raleigh. Catholic Radio was a very important part of my journey, and I assure you of my continued prayers and support as you spread the good news with this wonderful resource. I would not be where I am today were it not for the Grace of God, Bishop Michael Burbidge, all the Priest in this Diocese that have helped and supported me, the prayers of the Church, family and friends, the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, Saint Rita, Saint John Vianney, and Catholic Radio. God Bless you and all your hard work in bringing Catholic Radio to Raleigh and the surrounding area. God will provide everything you need. |
